How can I choose a subscription during my trial period?
- During the trial period, you are automatically on the Lucy Business Pro plan. When you select via Settings > Subscription another subscription in the Lucy Store during your free trial period, you cannot pay immediately because your trial period is still running.
The trial period for Lucy, also known as the Lucy trial, lasts for 30 days. At the end of the trial period, a pop-up will appear, directing you to the Store via the 'Choose a Plan' button. The subscription you selected during the trial is already chosen.
By clicking the 'Change Plan' button, you will be able to proceed with payment on the next screen.

Will I receive a notification at the end of my trial period?
- No, there is no notification at the end of the trial period. Upon your next login attempt to Lucy, a pop-up will appear allowing you to activate the desired subscription in your account.
How can I change my subscription?
- You can adjust your subscription at any time via 'Settings' under 'Subscription'. When you choose a higher plan, the new plan is activated immediately. In the case of a downgrade, the new plan will only be activated at the beginning of the following month in the account. Important: if you are currently still enjoying the €2 discount on all Lucy plans, you will not incur any additional charges if you choose to upgrade to a higher plan.

What payment methods are available for paying a plan in the Lucy Store?
- The currently available payment methods are the following:
- Credit cards and Debit cards (also possible for international bank accounts)
- Bancontact app (only possible with a Belgian bank account)
- Mobile Pay (KBC and Belfius)
- Currently, it is not possible to pay for a subscription:
- without a physical card
- via bank transfer
- through a bank mandate
Why is my payment below standard pricing?
- If your trial period ends in the middle of a month and you switch to a paid plan, we use pro-rata invoicing. This means you only pay for the remaining days of that month, rather than the full monthly fee.
A concrete example:
Suppose your trial ended on January 12th. You will only be charged for the period from January 12th to January 31st (20 days).
The calculation:
The monthly price (including VAT) is divided by the total number of days in that month and then multiplied by the number of active days.
Why is my payment above standard pricing?
- If you added additional users during the trial period and chose Lucy Business or Lucy Business Pro, these extra users will be billed on top of your selected plan (2,50 EUR per user). If the additional users are no longer needed, you can remove them via Settings > Users.
Will any information be lost if I change my subscription?
- No, your data will remain intact when you change your subscription. You'll only lose access to certain features. You can compare available features in each plan by using 'Compare Plans'.

Can I subscribe to an annual plan?
- It is not possible to subscribe to an annual plan, as the subscriptions are billed monthly. Upon the first payment, a mandate is automatically created, and the subscription is then renewed monthly via SEPA direct debit, so you no longer need to do this manually.
Can I add multiple users? Is there a limit?
- Starting from Lucy Business, you can add an unlimited number of users via 'Settings' under 'Users'. For each additional user, a monthly fee of €2.50 (excl. VAT) is charged per user on top of the plan.

Do I have to choose a paid plan at the end of my trial period?
- At the end of your trial period, a pop-up will appear when you log in, offering you the choice of a paid plan or our free version, the Lucy-inbox.
Note: the Lucy-inbox is only available for entrepreneurs registered with Lucy through their accountant. Self-onboarders without a connection to an accountant cannot select this option.
How can I change the payment method for my invoice?
- Currently, Lucy does not offer an option to directly change the payment method. If you want to change your payment method, you can downgrade to the Lucy-inbox or cancel your plan if the Lucy-inbox is not available for you. Once you do this, the current payment method will be automatically canceled on the first day of the next month. When you downgrade to the Lucy-inbox, your account is moved at the beginning of the next month to the Lucy-inbox. You can then choose the desired subscription and pay with the new bank account. If your plan was canceled, you won't be able to select a new plan at the end of the month. Contact support to reactivate your account.
Where can I find a copy of my invoice?
- When you activate direct debit via Mollie, or if you manually renew your subscription each month, you will automatically receive your invoice in your Lucy-inbox at the time of payment.
How do I end my subscription?
- Via 'Settings' under 'Subscription', you can cancel your subscription if you no longer wish to use Lucy's services. To later take out a subscription again, you will need to contact Lucy Support to reactivate your account.

How can I reactivate my plan after I have cancelled it?
- If you have cancelled your plan, you will lose access to your Lucy environment at the end of the month and will not be able to reactivate a plan on your own. To reactivate your account, please contact Support for further assistance.
Are there limits on the number of uploaded documents or created sales invoices in Lucy?
- There are no limits on the number of documents you can upload or the number of sales invoices you can create in Lucy.
Is it possible to activate only the Lucy inbox to receive my invoices via Peppol, and is this free?
- If you do not create invoices yourself and only want to receive your purchase invoices via Peppol, you can activate the Lucy inbox in your account. This plan is free and exclusively available to entrepreneurs who collaborate with an accountant and have designated an accountant in their Lucy environment.
Can I manually renew my subscription on a monthly basis?
- With the first payment, a mandate is automatically created. From this mandate, a subscription is established that operates via SEPA direct debit. If the payment method is not canceled, payments will continue through direct debit. This means a direct debit will always be initiated, and customers will not have the option to pay monthly.
Can I create multiple companies under one account and pay for just one subscription?
- Unfortunately, this is not possible. For each company registered on Lucy, a separate record is created to keep billing clear. Therefore, a separate subscription is required for each record. However, all records can be linked to the same email address, allowing you access to all your records from a single account.
What is an activation fee?
- This marks the start of your subscription, and no additional charges are applied.
