Under tab 'Invoicing', you can also create quotes. This feature is available starting from the Lucy Business subscription.

Go to 'Invoicing' and click on the Quotes tab. Before creating quotes, you can set the numbering format and the email template via the settings.

Click the '+ New quote' button to create a quote.

  • You can search for existing customers or create a new Customer directly from this screen. Customer details can always be edited.
  • The Quote number is generated when the quote is finalized. Lucy uses the settings to determine the numbering.
  • The Customer Reference field can be filled in manually.
  • The Quote Date is automatically set to the current date, but can be modified.
  • The Due Date is also auto-filled based on the settings but can be changed as needed.
  • You can select one or more items and customize each field if needed. You can also add a new item by typing it in and clicking + New Item. It's also possible to add an optional description below each item.

  • You can add an Additional Note. Clicking on one of the blocks below will automatically add the corresponding VAT text.

  • Under Attachments, you can upload up to 3 PDF files to include as attachments.

You can always preview what the quote will look like by clicking on the Preview tab, where you can also choose between two different layouts.

Once your quote is ready, you can either save it as a draft or finalize it. Draft quotes can be reopened from the main overview to continue editing.

When finalizing a quote, the following options appear:

  • Finalize and send to client: The quote status becomes "Sent."
  • Finalize and send later: The quote status becomes "Finalized."
  • Save as draft: The quote status remains "Draft."
  • Cancel

Once the quote is finalized, it can be sent by email. This will not be sent via the Peppol network.

In the quotes overview, you can see the status of each quote. Once a quote is created, its status is set to "Pending." By clicking on the three dots next to the quote, you can choose to accept or reject it.

Additionally, you have the option to resend the quote using the Send Reminder button, and you can also create a sales invoice directly from this view.
