In short
Lucy marks an invoice as paid as soon as it can link a bank transaction to that document. This matching runs at fixed times, not immediately. If your invoice is still marked as unpaid, then
- The matching has not run yet,
- No clear match was found
How automatic matching works
Take a look at this page for more information about how Codabox works in Lucy.
What you can check
- Is the Codabox connection really switched on? Only filling in a bank account in your details is not enough. The connection must be active via Settings > Integrations > Codabox (entrepreneur side), otherwise no transactions come in and Lucy cannot match anything.
- Has the matching already run? Look at the top right of the Inbox page and, if necessary, click Match now.
- Is there a suggestion waiting for you? A yellow suggestion does not mark the invoice as paid by itself. You must accept it first.
- Is the structured communication missing or does the amount differ? Then Lucy does not find a clear match and the transaction remains on Link. You can then link the transaction to the document yourself. As soon as that is done, it disappears from Missing docs and the invoice is marked as paid.
Partial payments
You can manually link part of a transaction to an invoice. The amount that then remains open, you mark as paid yourself when this part has been paid. You do this on the invoice under Details at the payment status, or via Payment > Register payment if you want to enter an amount.
Undoing a link or payment
On a linked payment you have two options, and the difference is important:
- Remove link: the linked transaction disappears, but the invoice remains marked as paid.
- Remove payment: the entire payment disappears and the invoice is marked as unpaid again.
