From the overview of the Invoices, you can click on the 'New Invoice' button to create an invoice or credit note.
- You can search for existing clients or create a new client from this screen. Client details can always be modified.
- Client reference is a required field and necessary for inclusion in a UBL invoice.
- The invoice date is automatically set to today and can be changed.
- The due date is automatically filled based on the settings.
- You can select one or more sales items, and you always have the ability to modify each field. You can also add a new sales item, but it will not be saved among the existing sales items.
- It is also possible to add an optional description under a sales item.
You can always view a preview of how the invoice will look by clicking on the 'Preview' tab, where you can also choose between two different layouts.
Once the invoice is ready, you can save it as a draft or finalize it.
Draft invoices can be reopened from the general overview to further finalize them.
When finalizing an invoice, the following options appear:
- Finalize and send to client
- Finalize and send later
- Save as draft
- Cancel
If you wish to send the invoice later, you can do so from the overview or from the invoice itself.
Here you have two options:
- Via Peppol: Here you can see whether the customer is known on the Peppol network through the checkmark.
- Via email: It is also possible to uncheck this option and send the invoice only via Peppol. In this case, no email text will be sent.
A created invoice will automatically end up in the Lucy Inbox from where it can be sent to the accountant.
